Gear and Flywheel

Gears and flywheels can drive each other in several ways:

• Using a chain (front and side views)
• Direct meshing (front and side views)
• Using a shaft (side view only).

To turn a gear or flywheel:

1. Place the cursor over the handle of the gear or flywheel.
2. Click and drag the handle in a circular motion (front view)
   or
3. Click and drag the handle up and down (side view).

To spin a gear or flywheel:

1. Place the cursor over the handle of the gear or flywheel.
2. Click, then drag and release the handle quickly in the direction in which you wish the part to spin.

Tips for use:

• The gear or flywheel may have an attached, secondary gear. Add this gear by clicking on the toolbar icon that appears beside the part when you hold the mouse over it.
• You can press the stop button on the part's toolbar to stop a gear spinning.
